Carrier Transicold named not one, but two dealers of the year for 2005: W&B Service of Dallas TX and Carrier Transicold South of Atlanta GA. The awards were presented at the annual Truck, Trailer, and Rail dealer meeting held recently in Miami Beach.
“While not unheard of, the double award this year is no coincidence,” said Joe Porto, director of sales for Carrier Transicold.
Both W&B Service and Carrier Transicold South achieved perfect scores in Carrier's Next Level performance program, which includes criteria that awards points for customer satisfaction and overall achievement.
“They were neck-and-neck in quantitative and qualitative areas,” Porto said.
“Winning dealer of the year means a ton to everybody in the organization,” said Bruce MacDonald, president of Carrier Transicold South, now in its fourth year in Atlanta and serving most of Georgia and eastern Tennessee. “It's the result of having good people and letting them do their job.”
“In 55 years of business, we've won a lot of awards, but they're always exciting to win — you never lose the feeling,” said John Chisolm, president and general manager of W&B Service in Dallas, a full-service dealership with a strong presence in the Dallas marketplace.
Carrier Transicold also recognized 30 other North and Latin America dealers for sales performance, significant investments in facilities, and achievement of business objectives. The meeting brought together 90 dealerships — 74 from the United States, 10 from Latin America, and six from Canada — to celebrate success and learn about the next generation of product innovation.
