Pickup toolbox slides to the side
A new pickup tool box from Taylor Wings slides to the side, over the pickup side rails, for easier access to the tool tray. The top-opening box slides on self-lubricating Nylatron rollers, sliding 48” to either the driver side or passenger side. This sliding to the side also opens the bottom portion of the box for storage of larger tools. Demonstrating the Pro-Slide is Robert Grafton. Taylor Wings Inc, 3720 Omec Cir, Rancho Cordova CA 95742.
TramBed slides cargo to rear
The TramBed was developed to move cargo out of a van body or enclosed pickup so that it can be unloaded easier by hand or fork truck. For service work at the customer site, this truck bed extension can provide a larger work bench than the open tailgate. The stainless steel I-beam frame has a 2,500 lb capacity rating. It slides out on eight sets of sealed industrial strength roller bearings. TramBed, a division of Hebert Enterprises, 6619 132nd Avenue NE, #162, Kirkland WA 98033.

Side braces support telescopic cylinder
A new method of adding stability to a raised dump body was introduced at the NTEA by Champion Hoist and Equipment. Cylinder support braces clamp around the cylinder to guide it and maintain it perpendicular to its mounting base. The patent-pending support pivots on the same shaft as the hydraulic cylinder. Pat Godwin (pictured) says that it was tested with a 12,000-lb load on one side of the body only. The 16-ft dump body deflected only 6" to the side when raised to a 35-degree dump angle.
