The complexities of certifying to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards can be confusing and frustrating. Louis Kleinstiver, NTEA technical services director, will present answers to some of the most frequently asked certification questions in a technical session from 3:45 to 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 12.
Kleinstiver will discuss the who, what, when, where, why, and how of vehicle certification. His presentation will be based on regional meetings of the NTEA that show the most common problems involved in vehicle certification. The discussion will be open-forum style, and Kleinstiver will answer questions from the audience. New requirements, procedures, and penalties for non-compliance will be reviewed.
