INDUSTRY leaders of tomorrow can gear up for the new millennium with the NTEA Young Executive Network's (YEN) annual meeting and workshop to be held from 1 to 4 pm on Wednesday, February 24.
"Driving the Future Through Innovation," is designed to help participants discover creative ways to impact the profitability of business through innovation. Group exercises and problem-solving activities will generate ideas and techniques that YEN members can put into practical applications.
Art Cornwell, author of "Freeing the Corporate Mind: How to Spur Innovation in Business" will lead the session. Cornwell, president of The Boardroom, a consulting and business communication firm he founded in 1976, draws material from his more than 30 years in the corporate world.
Cornwell is a former director of advertising and sales promotion for the Jeep division of American Motors, and has been president of two companies, and the vice-president of three others. He has been a professional speaker for 20 years, specializing in showing professionals how to increase their management skills.
Cornwell received his BA in marketing and MBA degrees from Michigan State University.
YEN is open to NTEA member company employees ages 18-35. Now in its second year, the Network has given more than 250 young professionals help in developing skills and the support of a peer group. There is no charge for YEN membership.
