Kinedyne Corporation has concluded its second annual Kinedyne Cares College Scholarship Program with $2,500 awards to two students: one from Ohio and one from Virginia. The scholarships were presented through a competition facilitated by the Ohio and Virginia state trucking associations.
Recipients for the second year of the program were selected based on 500-word essays addressing the topic “How the trucking industry has positively impacted my life.” The competition was open to all members of the two respective trucking associations, as well as to members of their immediate families. Payments will be made directly to the winning students' bursar accounts for tuition costs.
Winners of the Kinedyne Cares College Scholarship Program for the 2010 academic year were North Royalton OH resident Alex Mummert, who is attending the Cleveland Institute of Art; and Winchester VA resident Tyler Lackey, who is attending Roanoke College.
