The Marine Corps Systems Command awarded Navistar Defense five contracts worth more than $707 million to provide parts and support for International MaxxPro MRAP vehicles.
Under the contracts, which are fixed-price modifications to delivery orders awarded in fiscal year 2007, Navistar Defense will also support several engineering change proposals for its MaxxPro vehicles. Work for the engineering updates will be conducted at the company's West Point MS assembly plant.
Navistar will complete the engineering portion of the contracts during fiscal year 2008, with parts and support continuing beyond the end of the year. The contracts total $707,017,416. Navistar's global network provides swift distribution and service for MaxxPro MRAP vehicles in theater. Navistar has shipped more than 170,000 parts pieces to the military for use in Iraq and Afghanistan.
