Mega Fabrication Inc of Hutchinson, KS, has purchased W.A. Whitney Company from Esterline Technologies of Bellvue, WA.

Whitney, located in Rockford, IL, will continue operations in the same location where it has been for 97 years.

The purchase puts the Whitney brand of products in the same family as Piranha (ironworkers, press brakes, and shears) and Bertsch (plate-bending rolls and section rolls).

Products to be marketed by both Whitney and Piranha under the PRO-Series label include Whitney’s line of portable punch presses, CNC fabricators, and the ADVANTAGE and STORM plasma cutting machines. Future product development will include a line of Whitney multi-axis CNC press brakes.
