Kentucky Mfg Co has acquired Trailer Technologies, Inc, a manufacturer of custom transport, exhibit, and specialty trailers based in Walled Lake MI. Established in 1991, Trailer Technologies specializes in designing and building enclosed automobile transport trailers and customized expandable trailers used for mobile exhibiting, military applications, and mobile marketing tours.
Established in 1936, Kentucky Mfg began by building a variety of truck trailers. By the mid-1960s, it was producing drop-frame trailer systems, and then it began to expand into other markets where the drop-frame design was needed.
The drop-frame design proved suitable for Trailer Technologies' custom auto transport and mobile exhibit trailers. Operations will remain at the Trailer Technologies facility in Walled Lake. This is Kentucky Mfg's first expansion outside the state of Kentucky.
