Volvo Group, whose holdings include Volvo Trucks, Mack and Renault Trucks, announced its total truck deliveries increased 22% from January through July ’04 compared with the same period last year.

North American deliveries posted solid growth— up 40% to 25,755 units delivered. Europe, Volvo Truck’s largest market, posted the smallest gain compared with the rest of its continental markets, up 10% to 58,727 units. The largest deliveries boom was in Asia, up 70% to 12,206 units.

For the OEM’s North American market, Volvo truck deliveries leapt 57% to 13,062 units, Mack increased 28% to 12,565 and Renault declined 34% to 128.

Seasonally, deliveries weakened somewhat in July, but all markets posted gains overall, Volvo Group noted.
