Patented locking system for glass transporter

The Nicolas glass transporter is a three “axle” straddle trailer with a new patented locking system for holding the glass in place. The hydraulic arms inside the trailer carry horizontal pads rather than vertical ones. This permits the safe hold-down of short glass as well as tall pieces, since the top hydraulic arms are independent of the lower arms.

Total trailer length is 10,600 mm (35 ft), and it can pick up stillages 7,650 mm (25 ft) long. Load width is 1,590 mm (63"). Tare weight is 7 800 kg (17,200 lb). Nicolas Industrie SA, P O Box 3, F-89290 Champs-sur-Yonne, France.
