Avenger Corp's product line of Avenger, Avalanche, Competitor, Competitor ST, Competitor VS, Vindicator, VSR-7, and VNC series trailers has been upfitted with new equipment for 2002. New features include:
-
Radius aluminum fenders on single axle units — Redesign provides a more aerodynamic profile with an inward turned flange with no exposed fasteners for a cleaner transition to the sidewall. New fender lights have a two-tone orange and red lens.
-
Trickle charger on all breakaway kits is now standard.
-
Silver metallic non-skid OL 2002 on all A-frames — A reformulation of Avenger's original Ultra Panel Coating, the new silver metallic OL 2002 coating on all Avenger A-frames has a skidproof texture, is scratch- and UV-resistant, and acts as a chemical rust inhibitor.
-
Automotive-style, dead-bolt flush-locked rear double doors and aluminum wrapped rear ends — Avenger has replaced conventional cam-lock doors with a flush-lock door system. The system is engineered with a pin-and-chain release on the roadside door and a flush-lock with deadbolt on the curbside door — all keyed to match other doors on the trailer.
-
Improved aluminum framed side doors — By replacing antiquated bar-locks with a more professional quality flush-lock with deadbolt. Exposed hinges are gone and replaced by heavy-duty one-piece piano hinges. The new side door is standard equipment on Avenger, Avalanche, VSR, VNC, and Vindicator product lines — optional on all other Avenger brands.
-
Re-engineered rear ramp doors — By eliminating conventional bar locks, the rear ramp door system is re-designed with two cab-lock handles with an internal locking latch mechanism.
