Increased deliveries for Volvo Trucks

Volvo Trucks has seen an increase in deliveries of 23% for the five-month period between January and May, with a total of 44,370 trucks being sold as compared to 36,101 vehicles for the same period in 2004.

Volvo Trucks has seen an increase in deliveries of 23% for the five-month period between January and May, with a total of 44,370 trucks being sold as compared to 36,101 vehicles for the same period in 2004.

Deliveries in Europe rose by 4% to 18,353 trucks (17,606 last year). The upward trend continues in both the UK and France, which saw increases of 31% and 49%, respectively.

During this period, Volvo Trucks delivered 12,892 vehicles to the North American market, an increase of 53% compared to last year. In the USA deliveries were up by 59%, giving a total of 11,081 heavy trucks, and on the Canadian market the increase was 33% (1,509 vehicles).

Compared with the corresponding period last year, figures for deliveries to Asia, including the Middle East were up by 47%, and in South America by 13%.
