Diesel price up 3.7 cents

The national average price for a gallon of diesel rose 3.7 cents to $2.654 for the week ending April 9, the Energy Information Administration said. This marks the second week in a row of increases as trends track that of crude oil prices.

All regions saw an increase, but it was California that saw the worst of it as prices rose 6.9 cents to $2.881. California was also the most expensive region in which fill up. Prices were the steadiest in the Gulf Coast region, rising only 2.2 cents to $2.601. That region also happened to be the cheapest in which to fill up.
