Former TTMA board member Anderson dies

Len Anderson, former chairman of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) engineering committee and member of the TTMA board of directors, passed away January 4 in Bradenton, Florida. He was 79.

He spent his entire 42-year career in the design and development of highway semi-trailers, working for Highway Trailer Company, Edgerton, Wisconsin; Clark Equipment Brown trailer division, Michigan City, Indiana; and Miller Trailers, Bradenton, Florida.

He held executive engineering positions with Clark Equipment and was vice-president and a director with Miller Trailers.

He was the author of many Recommended Practices published for use by the trailer industry.

Anderson retired in December 1995, and formed Anderson Technical Services as a consultant to the trailer industry.
