A special session to be held at the Technology and Maintenance Council’s (TMC) 2010 Fall Meeting will address a large truck fuel efficiency study and update attendees on joint EPA/NHTSA rulemaking efforts.
The Truck IntelliDrive and Smart Roadside session, held by the Trucking Industry Mobility and Technology Coalition (TIMTC), will offer carriers the chance to interact directly with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation on onboard technology issues.
The National Academy of Sciences’ (NAS) large truck fuel efficiency study will also be discussed, as will an update on rulemakings.
The session will take place on Sept. 22 as part of TMC, which will be held in Raleigh, NC.
The IntelliDrive Program is an initiative of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Program, in collaboration with NHTSA, FMCSA and FHWA.
