TODCO President Dan Rengert is retiring May 31 after 44-plus years of service to the company and the trucking industry. The announcement was made by Dennis Stone, president and CEO of TODCO’s parent company, the Overhead Door Corporation.

Rengert’s career with TODCO began in 1965 as an order writer. Three years later he was promoted to field sales, four years later to field sales manager and in 1976 became general sales manager. Five years later, in 1976, he would become general manager, and in 1982 he became vice president. He was named president on September 1, 1992.

“Anyone who has spent time with Dan Rengert knows that he truly lives life to the fullest; a relentless driver of his business and a wonderful host and entertainer with a well-developed sense of humor, the velvet voice of a big-band singer and the grace of a country gentleman. We will miss his knowledge, his wit, his drive and his implacable passion for the business, for his customers and for his team,” said Stone.
