Big Tex rolls out new gooseneck with 12-ft. hydraulic dovetail
Big Tex Trailers has introduced the new 25GH Hydraulic Dovetail Gooseneck Trailer, expanding its equipment hauling lineup with a 25,900-lb. GVWR heavy-duty deckover. Combining powered hydraulic loading with a heavy-duty frame and practical equipment hauling features, the 25GH is designed for professionals who regularly transport equipment from jobsite to jobsite.
“Equipment continues to evolve, and our customers need trailers that evolve with it,” said Josh Babcock, senior vice president of Commercial Trailers at ATW. “The 25GH was developed for crews who load equipment every day. The hydraulic dovetail gives them a more convenient way to move equipment on and off the trailer while delivering the strength and reliability they need from one jobsite to the next.”
The 25GH is equipped with a 12-foot hydraulic dovetail that eliminates the need to deploy and stow traditional loading ramps, delivering a consistent 12-degree loading angle for skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, tractors and other equipment.
The system helps reduce setup time and manual effort between jobs, providing operators with a simpler loading solution throughout the workday.
Complementing its powered loading system, the 25GH features a 14-inch, 22-pound I-beam frame with torque tube reinforcement and a 30,000-lb. suspension system. The hydraulic dovetail delivers 12,000 pounds of lift capacity and 10,000 pounds of holding capacity. Together, these features provide the strength and stability needed for demanding equipment-hauling applications, the manufacturer noted.
The 25GH also incorporates practical features designed for day-to-day operation, including a Mega Sized Toolbox that provides convenient storage for tools, chains and other essential equipment.
A sliding winch track and integrated stake pockets provide flexibility for loading and securing equipment across a variety of hauling applications. A below-deck spare tire mount keeps the spare protected without sacrificing valuable deck space, allowing operators to maximize available cargo space.
