Great Dane facility celebrates safety milestone
Great Dane’s Central Fabrication facility on the Great Dane Terre Haute campus has marked two years with no recordable safety incidents, underscoring the commitment of the team that keeps production running strong, the OEM reported.
“The true measure of a great team isn’t just what it produces, but it’s how consistently it protects the people who make that success possible,” said Doug Schultz, plant manager at Great Dane Terre Haute. “More than two years without a recordable injury is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the commitment each member of our Central Fab team brings to work every day. I could not be more proud of this team for making safety more than a priority, they have made it a value.”
Central Fabrication manufactures upper couplers for Great Dane trailers, a key structural component known for its quality and durability to handle repeated heavy loads.
“Our Central Fabrication team’s achievement of working two years without a recordable safety incident reflects an unwavering commitment to looking out for one another, following disciplined safety practices, and building a culture where every employee returns home safely,” said Mel Cohen, interim CEO at Great Dane. “We are incredibly proud of this milestone and grateful to the team for setting a powerful example of what operational excellence and safety leadership look like across our organization.”
