Liberty Trailers has launched its patent-pending Detach & Defend removable tow bar system. This innovative feature is now available as an optional upgrade on Liberty’s I-beam frame equipment haulers, tilt trailers, and dump trailers.

The Detach & Defend system is engineered to be quickly detached and removed when the trailer is not in use, eliminating the connection point thieves rely on to hook up and tow it away. Once removed, operators insert the Defender Shield, a secure block-off insert that prevents anyone from attaching a coupler in the tow bar’s place.

This two-step defense renders the trailer virtually immobile until the tow bar is reattached by its rightful owner. Built for durability and convenience, the system reflects Liberty’s ongoing commitment to practical, real-world innovations that protect customers’ hard-earned investments.

“At Liberty, we listen to our customers and design solutions that make their lives easier and their equipment more secure,” said Johnathan Bradley, chief commercial officer of Liberty Trailers. “The Detach & Defend removable tow bar system gives trailer owners confidence that their trailer will stay secure, while also offering flexibility and convenience for everyday use. It’s one more way we’re raising the bar in trailer innovation.”

The Detach & Defend system is available immediately as an optional feature on select Liberty trailer models.
