    Photos: CIMC's new East Coast Intermodal Production facility

    CIMC Intermodal Equipment has been producing container chassis at a plant in South Gate, California, since 2006. That enabled the company to serve West Coast markets. CIMC produces container chassis by combining steel frames built in China and domestically sourced components such as this no-lube landing gear from SAF Holland. But to fully serve the intermodal market, the company decided it needed to have a second production facility on the East Coast...
