Dr. Jürgen Föhrenbach, 69, the managing chairman of Krone’s board of directors, died last week in a car accident.

Föhrenbach worked for Krone since July 2000, starting as a consultant, later as the spokesperson of the Trailer group. In 2005, he took over the chair of the Krone Holding Board of Directors.

“Together with his family, we feel sad for a man, who will remain in our memory as a brilliant analyzer, valuable consultant, active shaper and fine person,” Krone said in a statement. “With heart and intensity, he promoted the Krone group, always in his mind the philosophy of a family owned business. Many of us lose not only an esteemed and affectionate colleague but also a real friend.”
