Featherlite recently introduced its newly enhanced livestock trailers, which feature “a fresh, distinctive trailer design.”
The new trailers are available now on dealership lots, the company said.
“The new side-panel design adds even more strength and durability to our already heavy-duty stock trailers,” said Brad Alden, director of sales for Universal Trailer’s Horse & Livestock Group.
The new design applies to all livestock and combo trailer models as well as horse trailer Models 9651 and 9751. The exterior wall features a similar design to the current side panels but with a slightly more rugged appearance.
In addition, the back side of the panels is more flat and smooth, making the wall easier to clean.
Featherlite’s stock trailers also feature recent enhancements, including:
- A single-piece, durable slam latch that offers a more secure hold and is safer for owners and livestock
- All-aluminum one-piece running boards with a rear taper
- Thicker rear cam lock hardware for added strength
- Single-handle, easy-to-use drop gates allowing for easier access
Featherlite trailers are sold through a dealer network of more than 180 members across the US and Canada. Featherlite, which has built aluminum trailers since 1973, was recognized as the No. 1 manufacturer of livestock trailers for 2017, marking the 11th consecutive year the company received the honor.
