XL Specialized Trailers, which focuses on specialized and custom-engineered heavy-haul trailers, recently revamped the company look with a new logo and web site that it will showcase at the Mid-America Trucking Show.
XL was founded in 1995.
“It is amazing to see how much the company has changed since its humble beginnings,” comments Vice Chairman Scott Wall. “We wanted to respect our foundation and develop a company brand presence to continue to reflect the professionalism, creativity, and innovation that XL has always prided itself on.”
The new logo was designed to sharpen up the brand. XL Specialized Trailers’ new website displays the many specialized heavy-haul trailers XL produces for the construction, commercial, agricultural, oil & gas, wind, and custom markets in an easy to navigate, customer-minded layout.
“It is very important to us to provide premium resources for our customers; this goal is what ultimately pushed us to revive our site,” said XL’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Nathan Guess. “We are looking forward to hearing feedback about the website and brand from our customers at the Mid-America Trucking Show.”
XL will showcase four innovative trailers, each built with T-1 flange, 80K web and one-piece construction.
The booth will feature two construction trailers: a 120 Low-Profile (Scraper) Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck and a 110 Cheater Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck. The 52’ long 120 HDG is rated with 120,000 lb. overall capacity and 120,000 lb. in 10’ concentrated. It boasts the popular low-profile gooseneck with a 78” flip neck extension along with heavy-duty swingout outriggers and top flange reinforcement on the 26’ long deck. The 12’ low-profile neck, open boom trough and 32° slope of rear transition makes loading Scrapers and trucks of all sizes an efficient process.
With a capacity rating of 110,000 lb. distributed, 110,000 lb. in 10’ concentrated, and 53’ overall length, the XL Cheater Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck handles the roughest loads proficiently. The 110 CHDG’s patented Cheater neck is the ultimate in hydraulic efficiency and safety, offering seven position variable ride height positions for changing the height and ground clearance of the trailer for different applications. The 12’ 11” long hydraulic neck was custom-designed to save drivers valuable time while increasing flexibility. It can be hooked and unhooked without the operator continually getting in and out of the truck. Oversized donuts and tapered load pins allow for faster hook-up on uneven ground. The chain drops and removable heavy-duty swingout outriggers provide increased versatility.
XL will also display two commercial trailers at MATS: a 70 Mechanical Full-width and a 120 Step Deck Extendable. The 70 MFG is 48’ long with a load rating of 70,000 lb. overall. The 29’ long deck boasts an 18” loaded deck height, 6” ground clearance and features aluminum pullout outriggers, which extends the 8’ 6” deck to 13’ for hauling wider equipment. With 4,400 lb. capacity per extrusion, the 27” pullout outriggers on 18” centers are ideal for hauling larger tired equipment, and make it just as desirable for the agriculture market.
