The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) is hosting the second in a free Webinar series, “Back to Basics: Government Affairs-NATM working for you and the industry!” on Wednesday, May 26 at 1:30 p.m. CDT.

It is presented by Pam O'Toole, NATM Executive Director; Andy Gehman, NATM Government Affairs Committee; and Clint Lancaster, NATM Technical Director.

In 2008, NATM hired the government affairs firm of K&L Gates. But, what does this mean, and how do NATM's legislative efforts impact trailer manufacturers? This session will review NATM’s relationship with K&L Gates, and how this affects members. Topics to be covered are the creation of a uniform brake standard, proposed legislation for doubles-towing configuration, inclusion in the SBA 7(a) loan program, Employee Free Choice or "card check," and more. Time will be set aside for questions and for members to share what regulatory or legislative issues are of concern.

Contact NATM at 785-272-4433 with questions. Or sign up for the webinar at http://www.natm.com/Members/BacktoBasicsWebinar/default.aspx
