Interstate Group expands Arizona manufacturing site

Feb. 2, 2022
Interstate will invest upwards of two million dollars into this project and hire 20 new employees with the expansion

Interstate Group LLC is expanding its presence at the Kingman (Ariz.) Industrial Park, with the addition of another 21,000 sq. ft. building to their current site.

To accommodate the needs of this expansion, the City of Kingman Economic Development department worked with Interstate Trailers to sell them city owned property next to their site. The land sale proceeds from this sale will be reinvested back into the Kingman Municipal Airport.

“The expansion of this facility will greatly increase our productivity. Interstate will invest upwards of two million dollars into this project and hire 20 new employees,” Casey Fillion, corporate safety manager, said. “There used to be a lot of vacant land at the Industrial Park but now it’s so good to see all the new businesses and the growth that’s happening.”

Currently, Interstate trailers employs 140 employees at the industrial park location.

“The City of Kingman is always happy to assist businesses when they want to expand their facilities,” Bennett Bratley, Kingman Industrial Park Manger said. “The Economic Development team has been working with numerous companies that have shown interest in expanding and locating their businesses here. This is due to our growing workforce, available building inventory, and the low cost of doing business in Kingman. These components are why companies are choosing to locate here.”
