Stoughton Trailers has achieved ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification for the production of painted intermodal chassis in the Evansville, Wis. facility, the manufacturer reported.

“This is a key step for our organization in continuing the direction of making Stoughton #1 in chassis production,” said Bob Wahlin, president & CEO. “We look to expand this focus to our chassis production lines in Stoughton and Waco.”

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized Quality Management Standard (QMS) developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes to use in building an effective quality management system.

The standard is based on several quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of top management, an outlined process-based approach and continuous improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good-quality products and services.

“Stoughton chassis are manufactured to the highest quality standards,” said Caroline Pratesi, director of quality. “Our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification illustrates our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and continual improvement."
