After a successful launch in 2010, The Boss Snowplow is underwriting a second year of Project EverGreen's SnowCare for Troops program and urging snow removal professionals to join and double the volunteer base in year two.

SnowCare for Troops provides free snow removal services for military families with a spouse or family member serving in the armed forces through a dedicated volunteer network.

“The response to SnowCare for Troops from caring professionals and military families has been tremendous, and we are challenging our supporters to double the participation for the 2011-12 snow season,” said Mark Klossner, marketing manager for Boss.

Snow removal professionals and other volunteers have many ways to support the program, including:

  • Offering free snow removal services throughout the winter to one or two families in their service area

  • Loaning snow removal equipment to volunteers or groups

  • Donating money, transportation or gas cards to offset snow removal, and maintenance costs

  • Referring friends and/or military families to sign up for the program.

Boss underwrites the SnowCare for Troops program. It's open to anyone with a plow or other snow removal equipment who wants to lend a hand.
