MFTA dealer network enters Guam

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA) has announced the appointment of a new full-service dealership on the island of Guam, a US protectorate. The dealership, Morrico Equipment LLC, joins more than 200 MFTA authorized dealers that currently operate across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

FUSO trucks—Class 3–5 diesel-powered, medium-duty cabover designs—are widely used by food distributors and wholesalers serving the hotel and restaurant industries, as well as for beverage delivery, catering, refrigerated and dry cargo delivery fleets, vehicle recovery, towing, pest control, plumbing, light construction and landscaping. All of these market segments are prevalent on Guam.

Todd Bloom, MFTA’s president and chief executive officer, said, “We are extremely pleased to be able to expand our business into the Guam market. The island has a thriving economy, and the FUSO Canter, with its low cost-of-ownership, cabover maneuverability, and high payload capacity, should be well-suited to the truck transport needs of a wide variety of businesses operating there.”

Morrico Equipment will operate as a full-service dealership, providing new truck sales, parts and service for the full line of Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE/FG Series medium-duty work trucks. ♦
