TRAILER, TRUCK, & BODY OEMs

East Manufacturing has appointed Chris Cooler product manager for dump trailers in addition to his role as mid-South regional manager. In 1992 he began serving four years as manager of production engineering for the company, then moved to Davey Drill, an Ohio-based construction drill rig manufacturer, where he most recently was vice-president. Chuck Stephens has left retirement to return to East Mfg as Western sales representative, covering the United States west of the Mississippi River. Originally starting with East Mfg in 1980, he moved to Cellular One in 1987 and returned to East Mfg in 1995, serving as manager of used trailer sales until his retirement in 2014.

Russ Mullennix has joined Hercules Manufacturing Company as a strategic business development specialist. Mullennix retired after 21 years of service with W & B Service Co of Dallas TX, where he was a partner and most recently vice-president of sales for the Southern Region. He was previously the Houston branch manager.

COMPONENT MANUFACTURERS

Buyers Products, provider of work truck accessories and snow and ice management equipment, has added David Vollmert as its district sales manager responsible for the Southwest sales accounts in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. He brings more than six years of experience as a Southwestern regional sales manager for Weatherguard/Knaack. Buyers Products also has named Shawn Kennedy as national accounts manager. His previous experience includes seven years as a regional manager at Fox Racing, as well as two years as national sales manager at Seattle Sports.

Hillary Frye

welcomes Hillary Frye to its engineering department as an electrical engineer. Before joining Vanair, she worked in the engineering department of Caddo Connections as an electrical engineer.

ConMet has appointed Richard Moss to the position of national accounts manager, and he will be located in Fort Mill SC. With 36 years of industry experience, Moss comes from Timken after 19 years as its national accounts manager in the commercial vehicle market.

STEMCO, an EnPro Industries company, has created three new area manager positions. Steve Robinson will be supporting eastern Canada, the US Northeast, and part of the US Southeast region. He spent the past five years as a suspension area manager with STEMCO and also spent 15 years with SKF as territory manager. Randy Puls will be supporting the central part of the Southeastern regions. He served the past 26 years as a district sales manager with STEMCO. Mike Codling will be supporting the Western Region and western Canada. He spent the past 15 years as district sales manager for territory 240, which includes Oregon and Washington. STEMCO has promoted Jim Reis to vice-president of strategy and Doug Hix to vice-president and general manager for STEMCO’s Brake Products Group. Reis has over 30 years of heavy-duty industry experience, much of that with the Brake Products Group as vice-president and general manager for the past five years. With 10 years of heavy-duty industry experience, Hix served as STEMCO’s finance director and vice-president of finance.

INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION PROFILES

The Truck Renting and Leasing Association has added Graham Hall as its new manager of government relations. In 2015, Hall moved to Washington DC, where he worked with the conservative fund-raising firm Gula-Graham Group. From there he transitioned into UPS Public Affairs, serving as a legislative assistant for transportation policy. He joins Andrew Stasiowski in TRALA’s government relations department. ♦
