HD Aftermarket Dialogue Adds Dieli, Strauss as Speakers

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, the Heavy Duty division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), and MacKay & Company announced that Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB, Inc. and Bill Strauss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will present as part of the 4th Annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference January 23 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2017.  

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, the Heavy Duty division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), and MacKay & Company announced that Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB, Inc. and Bill Strauss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will present as part of the 4th Annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference January 23 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2017.

Dieli and Strauss' presentation, entitled The Economics of the HD Aftermarket, will review an array of topics affecting the industry outlook for 2017. The topics to be covered include a comprehensive examination of factors affecting the trucking industry such as employment, utilization and profitability. In addition, matters such as new trends in fiscal and monetary policy, changes in foreign markets and the regulatory environment will be part of their agenda.

As one of three in HDMA's Heavy Duty Dialogue Series, the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue program will provide insight and a forward look at the heavy duty aftermarket, with an introduction by Tim Kraus of HDMA and Stu MacKay of MacKay & Company, an aftermarket industry forecast with MacKay & Company, and a market and economic outlook, with heavy duty industry expert Dr. Robert Dieli, of RDLB, Inc. and senior economic analyst, Bill Strauss, of the Chicago Federal Reserve.

Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue features individual presenters and separate distribution executive panel-discussions with primary topics that include:

• The Current Architecture of the Private Label
• The Battle of the Channels
