Posi-Clik fittings greatly reduce air leaks
Norgren Global Vehicle Technologies' new Posi-Clik fittings feature a “click” technology that allows installers to feel and hear when the connection is secured and installation is complete. With a reliable first-time connection, end-of-line rework due to insufficient tube insertion is eliminated. In addition, Posi-Clik fittings provide double-seal technology, incorporating both an environmental seal and an air system pressure. This prevents paint, dirt, and water entry and eliminates abrasion damage to pressure seals caused by contamination.
Other features and benefits of Posi-Clik fittings include:
-
By allowing more efficient tube connection, Posi-Clik fittings help reduce or eliminate build-up areas in manufacturing and provide better continuous process improvement.
-
Posi-Clik fittings can tolerate a wider range of temperatures than other fittings and connectors.
-
Posi-Clik tube supports are molded from high-strength plastics with a larger orifice size, resulting in greater flow for the same size fitting PIF size.
-
This technology is also available as a straight or shaped cartridge fitting. The Posi-Clik cartridge, which requires a much lower insertion force than current traditional cartridges, can be installed directly into an unmachined diecast port form or into the standard SAE port form.
Available in metric or standard measurement systems, Posi-Clik fittings can be installed with standard tools and require no special sockets. In case of incomplete assembly by the operator, the “double safety lock” feature of these fittings ensures that the body is retained on the adapter.

Hougen drill kits include RotaLoc cutters
Hougen Manufacturing produces four models of low- and ultra-low-profile portable magnetic drills that take advantage of cutting holes with the company's RotaLoc and RotaLoc Plus annular cutters featuring the Quick-Shank mounting design for fast, toolless changeouts.
An Arbor Adapter Assembly has a quick-release change feature that adapts the spindles of the firm's other drill models to use the two RotaLoc series of tools. The company has widened the convenience and performance of these fast-change tools by adding three cutter kits for each tool series. Each kit contains three cutters, with diameters dependent upon the kit selected, along with three centering pilot points. The kit packaging is constructed of plastic and has molded “nests” or pockets for the tools to rest in.
The kits containing RotaLoc cutters (for use with the HMD115 ultra-low-profile truck frame drill) are #17700 with 1/2, 5/8"- and 3/4"-diameter cutters; the #17701 includes 9/16"-, 13/16"-, and 15/16"-diameter cutters; the #17704 kit has cutters ranging in diameters of 13, 15, and 18 mm — all providing 3/4" depth of cut.

Weldcraft WP-24 torches made for intricate welding
Weldcraft designed its WP-24 TIG torch series especially for intricate welding applications that require improved joint access. The series includes three air-cooled torches: the WP-24 (standard), WP-24F (flexible neck), and WP-24FV (flexible neck, valved combination), each of which is rated at 80 amps at 60 percent duty cycle. A water-cooled version, the WP-24W is rated at 180 amps at 100 percent duty cycle.
The WP-24 series include a balanced, featherweight torch body with an insulating gasket that prevents shielding gas leakage. Together, these components increase operator comfort and control, and help minimize weld discontinuities.
Each torch is 7½ inches long and features a 3/4-inch-diameter handle, making it comfortable and easy to maneuver. Available 60° or 90° head angles increase access into tight areas.
The WP-24F torch includes a flexible neck that bends in any direction to further improve operator comfort and to maneuver into challenging welding angles or tight areas. For welding operators who desire both increased flexibility and gas flow control, Weldcraft's WP-24FV is available.
For higher amperage applications that require access into confined areas, the WP-24W offers an efficient cooling system without adding to torch size.

For versatile parts assembly, try Daubert Chemical
How much more efficiency would be added to a production process by using a single adhesive for both sheets as well as general parts assembly purposes? Maximum throughput and production efficiency were what Daubert Chemical Co engineers were after when they developed a line of adhesive products offering a range of open times for film applications (sheets) or beads (for general assembly).
The open times range from 10 to 45 seconds (film) and one to three-minutes for bead. What it adds up to is a product line that accommodates sheets and parts, all in a single adhesive product. If production calls for sheet or parts assembly and an adhesive is desired that can also accommodate vinyl films, resin-impregnated paper foils, and wood veneers, Daubert has the answer.

Metalloy Vantage D2 wire from Hobart can cut costs
Based on the success of its Tri-Mark Metalloy Vantage, Hobart Brothers is now offering Metalloy Vantage D2 (AWS E90C-D2) gas-shielded metal-cored wire for high-strength, low-alloy steels. Vantage D2 helps improve productivity and reduce end-users' welding costs by providing higher deposition rates and faster travel speeds than equivalent ER80S-D2 solid wires for greater overall throughput.
Because Vantage D2 produces weld toe lines with minimal silicon deposits and spatter, the wire reduces the need for parts preparation and minimizes post-weld cleanup and its associated costs. When used with higher content Argon shielding gas blends (90% argon/10% carbon dioxide), Vantage D2 provides excellent wet-in to help eliminate rework due to lack of fusion or other weld discontinuities.
