The company's new product additions are meant to add a brighter and more visually appealing look to assets

Optronics International, a manufacturer of vehicle harnesses, electronic control systems, and LED lighting for the global transportation industry, released its MCL2300, MCL20, and MCL16T Marker/Clearance Lights. These lights will enable trailer OEMs to create a signature, branded look for their vehicles and provide broad customization options for owner-operators.

Optronics has introduced geometrically shaped marker/clearance lights, and can now offer round, oval, and rectangular lights. These lights also offer an increased light size while fitting into a standard 3/4-inch hole, courtesy of the included grommet.

“The lights are versatile and easily installed without any need for retooling, maintaining the same manufacturing process that our OEMs are accustomed to,” explained Michael Whitman, director of production management for Optronics. “Despite the different shapes, they still fit into the 3/4-inch cutout hole that’s become the industry norm, offering an effortless original equipment upgrade or an aftermarket replacement option.”

The PC-rated lamps can be used as combination side marker and front or rear clearance lights when mounted on an angle. The geometric optics spread light for an bright appearance, delivering a reliable, high-quality lighting solution.

The three-diode MCL2300 lamp features a rectangular design measuring 2.31 inches wide by 1.43 inches tall by 0.64 inches thick. The three-diode MCL20 is an oval marker/clearance light measuring 1.875-inches wide by 1.5 inches tall by 0.5 inches thick. The single-diode MCL16T is a 1.25-inch diameter round light with a 1.31-inch profile and features a fluted lens pattern. All three lamps come hard-wired and are available in bulk and polypack packaging.

The new marker/clearance lights are ideal for a variety of vehicles and applications, including work trucks, dry vans, reefers, box trucks and more.

“And this is just the beginning,” said Dustin Smith, vice president of sales for Optronics. “We will continue to expand this lighting line, developing future products that add auxiliary features, such as our supplemental turn and stop light functions.”

The lamp’s lenses are made of polycarbonate material that is sonically welded and resistant to dust and moisture. The lamps employ a solid-state, surface-mount device (SMD) design that protects their electronics against moisture, shock, and vibration. These lamps come with a no-hassle, one-diode lifetime warranty protection that will replace a lamp if even one diode fails.

The new MCL2300, MCL20, and MCL16T marker/clearance lights are in stock and available for shipping immediately.
