Aftermarket installers now have a solution to provide their customers to keep full backup camera or around-view camera functionality while adding new equipment to their F-150. Rostra Accessories offers three different types of LVDS backup camera relocation kits to suit installer's needs.

Camera Relocation Housing. Rostra's relocation housings are custom-designed fixtures meant to accept the original camera from your F-150's tailgate. These housings mount to any flat surface with a combination of automotive-grade VHB tape and machine screws and are designed to angle the camera in such a way that it approximates the original camera view on your truck's in-dash monitor. These housings are ideal for use when the installer wants to remove the original camera from the tailgate handle and the camera will be installed in about the same position as it was when inside the tailgate handle originally and doesn't require an extension harness

Camera Relocation Housing and Extension Harness. Rostra's relocation housings with extension harnesses include the custom relocation housing mentioned above but include a 5-meter LVDS extension harness. These kits are for use when the installer wants to remove the original camera from the tailgate handle but the camera will be installed further away from its original position in the tailgate. The housing provides a sturdy mounting point for the camera while the extension harness provides the needed length to locate the camera further away from the middle of the tailgate.

Camera Relocation Housing, Extension Harness, Original Equipment Camera. Rostra's combination relocation housing, extension harness, and original equipment backup camera kits provide the ultimate solution to camera relocation. These kits are perfect for when the installer doesn't want to bother with removing the original camera from a truck's tailgate, or for when the truck was delivered as a cab & chassis model with no backup camera. Again, the housing provides a sturdy mount for the camera while the extension harness provides the needed length to locate the camera wherever the installer wants on the back of the truck.
