Anytrek Corporation, based in Ontario CA, recently released the newest member of its patented TrackLight family of GPS tail light trackers.
The company said its covert tracker was designed for trailers of all types, including dry vans, chassis, flatbeds, tankers, reefers and any other trailers that use a 4-inch round or 6-inch oval tail light.
“TrackLight is the only covert trailer tracker that does not require installation, time off the road, or modifications to your trailer,” the company said.
“If you can change a tail light, you can install a TrackLight.”
The newest addition features a clear lens and was developed to meet the increased usage of clear 4-inch tail lights by some trailer manufacturers, the company said. A matching decoy (same look and shape) light also was introduced to allow trailer owners to present a matched look to their trailer.
TrackLights are installed in the same way as replacing normal tail lights, Anytrek said. Remove the existing tail light, plug the TrackLight into the trailer wiring loom (adaptor cables are available to remove the need to modify wiring) and fit the TrackLight using either a standard ring or Anytrek’s PermaLok secure mounting ring, which clamps into position without the need for screws or rivets.
Drawing power from the tail/stop light circuit, TrackLight will report every 5 minutes while moving and powered (tail lights on), 15 minutes when moving and unpowered (tail lights off), and every 6 hours when stationary, the company said.
The built-in Li battery provides up to three months continuous reporting when the trailer is stationary and unpowered, Anytrek claimed. Motion sensors automatically start reporting more frequently when movement is detected.
TrackLights are available in 3G and 4G/LTE models, are IP68 rated, DOT approved and come with a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty.
