CSTK Inc., a diversified distributor of transportation, construction and communications equipment and related services, has begun construction on two new facilities in St. Louis, Missouri, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
These new locations will offer service and sales facilities for CSTK’s diverse lineup of products, including its primary line of Thermo King transport temperature control equipment. Additional products and services include trailer repair, aftermarket parts and repair/installation services.
The new CSTK facilities will be centrally and conveniently located to serve the needs of the transportation industry, including tractor-trailer fleets, rail yard/intermodal operations, users of transport temperature control equipment, and off-road HVAC. The Bethlehem and St. Louis locations are slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2015, with move-in scheduled for both buildings on March 1.
The Bethlehem facility will replace CSTK’s nearby location in Allentown, Pennsylvania, which has operated in the region for more than 50 years. Located in the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII at I-78 and Route 412, CSTK’s Bethlehem 21,100-square-foot facility will include eight service bays as well as nearby rail and intermodal access.
The new St. Louis facility will replace CSTK’s current St. Louis location on Chouteau Avenue, which has been in operation for over 20 years. Located on Carrie Avenue off of North Broadway at I-70, CSTK’s new St. Louis facility will boast 56,000 square feet of sales and service space as well as 16 service bays. The new St. Louis location will also house CSTK subsidiary Kahn Truck Equipment, a custom mechanic and service truck provider, allowing the St. Louis branch to consolidate all area operations under one location.
CSTK’s new Bethlehem and St. Louis locations will provide newly offered drop lot services. Bethlehem’s lot will contain space for 35 customer trailers, while the St. Louis location will include space for 150 trailers. In addition, both locations will feature rail yard access, a full service parts counter, and a classroom for employee and customer training events.
“CSTK is in the process of dramatically expanding its operations,” said Michael Kahn, president and CEO of CSTK. “Over the next 18 months, CSTK will be adding 38 service bays and over 130,000 square feet of combined sales and service space in three newly built locations. In addition to St. Louis and Bethlehem, other new facilities are planned for completion in 2015 for the Kansas City area in Riverside, Missouri, Wichita, Kansas, and a remodel of the Oklahoma City facility. A new facility for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is planned for 2016.”
“We have experienced dramatic increasing demand for our products and services,” said Kahn. “Our new facilities will allow us to address the needs of our customers while exceeding their expectations, as well as the transportation industry as a whole.”
