Kenworth Starts Paccar MX Engine Dealer Council

Kenworth has established a Paccar MX Engine Dealer Council that includes Kenworth dealer principals and service managers and works with Kenworth and Paccar executives to identify continuous-improvement initiatives that ensure best-in-class fuel economy, reliability, and lowest total cost of operation.

Council members serving in 2015 are: Tom Bertolino (council chairman) and Mike D’Agostini, NorCal Kenworth (Sacramento, CA); Carl Herzog, CIT Kenworth Chicago (Mokena, Ill.) and Terry Stalter, CIT Kenworth (Normal, Ill.); and Mike Murphy and Zach Newton, MHC Kenworth (Leawood, Kan.).

According to the company, the fuel-efficient Paccar MX-13 engine is rated up to 500 hp. and 1,850 lbs.-ft. of torque and is available for Kenworth Class 8 models. The release also states that there are more than 75,000 Paccar MX-13 engines operating in Class 8 trucks in the U.S. and Canada.
