Hendrickson delivering ULTIMAAX suspensions to Latin America

Hendrickson recently introduced ULTIMAAX severe-duty rubber suspensions for International trucks in Latin America.

Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems recently introduced ULTIMAAX severe-duty rubber suspensions for International trucks in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.

ULTIMAAX is designed specifically for severe-duty vocational markets, with durability being its cornerstone feature, Hendrickson said.

“This suspension has truly raised the bar for durability, making it the ultimate in severe-duty rubber suspension technology,” said Ashley Dudding, director of engineering for Hendrickson.

The company said its ULTIMAAX system has been through more extreme testing than any product developed to date, including running in some of the most severe applications in Mexico and throughout Latin America since 2013.

ULTIMAAX delivers durability, stability, handling and ride quality in the most severe-duty environments where vehicles encounter harsh and unexpected ground conditions, Hendrickson said. The integration of the company’s walking (equalizing) beam technology, with its progressive rate spring, provides a balance of loaded stability and unloaded ride quality.

ULTIMAAX optimizes weight savings without sacrificing durability, resulting in a product that is “hundreds of pounds” lighter than competitive suspension systems for higher payloads, the company claimed. In addition, the system has low maintenance requirements, resulting in lower suspension-related costs.
