Custom Truck Sales opens service facility in Saskatchewan

Dec. 28, 2015

Custom Truck Sales recently opened a new parts and service facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, on Highway 4 and the TransCanada Highway.

“Our new, 16,000 square-foot facility provides parts and service support to the area’s many companies involved in the agricultural, manufacturing and oil and gas sectors and to truck fleets and operators traveling through the city on the TransCanada Highway,” said Brent Leach, president of Custom Truck Sales, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015.

Swift Current is undergoing an economic expansion that has resulted in substantial investment in the downtown commercial core and the development of many new and existing businesses along the highway commercial district, noted Leach.

Located on a 4.5-acre site in a growing industrial park, Custom Truck Sales – Swift Current offers customers plenty of parking for their trucks and trailers along with a customer lounge furnished with satellite TV and internet access.  The facility offers 10 service bays, with one bay serving as a wash bay and repair stall, giving the new location the flexibility to manage growth and future capacity needs, Leach said. The dealership features a 4,300 square-foot parts department offering a large inventory and delivery throughout the Swift Current area.

Don Bailey, director of parts and service operations for Custom Truck Sales, oversees the store operations from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Chris Kohl manages the service department, Ken James is the parts director, and Russell Sill is the parts manager. Parts and service are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Custom Truck Sales – Swift Current is part of the Kenworth dealer network of more than 360 locations throughout Canada and the United States. In addition to Swift Current, Custom Truck Sales operates locations in Estevan, Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Brandon and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Custom Truck Sales is affiliated with PacLease.
