Transit is the modern successor to the Ford E-Series, America’s best-selling van for more than 35 years, first sold in 1961 as Ford Econoline. Transit has a proven legacy with more than 7 million units sold worldwide since being introduced in Europe in 1965. It has been the best-selling commercial van in the UK for 49 years.
Ford makes the North American Transit in its Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, MO. It went on sale in the U.S. in June.
