Meritor Inc unveiled its Sales Pad application for the iPad at the Mid-America Trucking Show.
The customized application allows Meritor's North American Field Operations team to provide customers with the latest product information quickly and easily.
The Sales Pad application will provide Meritor's sales team with instant access to more than 600 Meritor brochures, service manuals, parts books, videos, images and performance calculators.
“Each of our field personnel will not only be able to review information with customers right on the spot, but also send it to their email inbox right then and there,” said Matthew Stevenson, director, Marketing, Meritor.
Already in development for summer 2011 is a public version of the iPad application that will enable customers to have all the latest Meritor product information on their own device. Many of the company's OEM partners are equipping their dealers with iPads which will be able to operate Sales Pad.
