Knorr-Bremse and Robert Bosch have announced a deal to make adaptive cruise control systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Knorr-Bremse and Robert Bosch have announced a deal to make adaptive cruise control systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

In a first phase, Bosch will provide Knorr-Bremse with parts, software and know-how for the adaptive cruise control system. Knorr-Bremse will develop the system for air-brake commercial vehicle use and market it worldwide for original equipment and retrofitting under the Bendix and Knorr-Bremse brands.

Bosch ACC has been in use in passenger cars since 2000.
