Wabash National secures order from CFI

Wabash National Corp has announced confirmation of an agreement with Contract Freighters Inc (CFI) to obtain 1,050 DuraPlate HD dry vans to be produced in 2006. The agreement includes an option for another 950 trailers in 2007. Trailer production is expected to begin in May 2006.

The DuraPlate HD trailer combines the performance of the DuraPlate composite sidewall with an innovative base plate design. The heavy-duty base plate, which eliminates the need for an interior scuff liner, provides an additional 22 inches of lower sidewall protection, where it is estimated that 90% of trailer damage occurs.
