A company that distributes parts worldwide has hooked up with the world's largest online retailer.

For two months, Navistar Parts has been offering customers the option to order PARTSMART truck and bus parts through Amazon.com.

Amazon.com is a known, trusted online retailer that will help us connect with customers on a whole new level,” said Patti Corso, Navistar Parts e-commerce manager. “Navistar Parts was the first truck and bus OEM to sell truck and bus parts online, and this partnership with Amazon.com extends our reach and offers a truly consumer-focused purchasing experience.”

With Amazon.com's e-commerce platform, shoppers can customize their shipping preferences, see product reviews, and use a variety of payment options, including Paypal and Amazon.com gift cards. The search capabilities of Amazon.com allow users to search by item, price, make, and model, and see suggested products that complement their selection.

www.Amazon.com/PARTSMART will make it simple to identify the parts you want and the related products you need,” said Corso.

Navistar Parts' existing e-commerce site, www.partsmartparts.com, will also continue to offer parts and promotions.

The PARTSMART parts collection offers All-Makes truck and bus parts at competitive prices. All PARTSMART parts come with a one-year, parts-only replacement warranty.

They can be purchased at www.partsmartparts.com, www.Amazon.com/PARTSMART, or any one of more than 500 International or IC Bus dealers in the United States.

Online orders will be processed immediately. Shipping time will vary depending on what product is ordered and what method is chosen. Most bus part shipments arrive in two to five business days. For orders requiring faster delivery, there is the option to expedite the shipment via next-day or second-day air. Currently, orders can only be shipped within the continental United States.

Parts can be found by indicating the PARTSMART part number or replacement part number, typing it into the search box at the top right of the browser window, and clicking “go.”

To view the site, registration is not required. However, to make a purchase or to receive future product updates and promotions, a customer profile must be created. Once all items have been put in a cart, click “checkout.” Complete all required fields and click “continue,” or click “your account” at the top right of the browser page or “login/register” in the center of the home page or footer of the parts pages.

When an order is confirmed shipped, an e-mail will be sent with a link to the carrier's website with tracking number. Customers also can go to the “your account” link on the website and select the order to track. Tracking numbers will be shown along with a link to the carrier's website.
