AL-KO Kober Corporation has opened a new manufacturing facility in Caldwell ID. The firm is supplying frames and axles for the RV and light-trailer industry from the facility where operations began May 15, 2008.

The announcement of the Idaho facility comes less than a month after AL-KO announced the purchase of RBW Industries Inc. in Chino CA. The new facility in Idaho will allow AL-KO to build on the opportunities of the RBW acquisition. That acquisition added slide-out systems, hitches, landing gear, pin boxes, bed lifts, and TV brackets to the AL-KO product offerings.

Headquartered in Germany, AL-KO has 50 factories and locations worldwide and more than 4,500 employees. With the Caldwell operation, AL-KO will have eight plants in the United States. There are two plants in Elkhart IN, as well as plants in Chino, Shawnee OK, Baldwyn MS, Ontario CA, and Riverside CA.
