June 7, 2018
Tramec Sloan recently acquired Fleet Engineers, a manufacturer and distributor of commercial vehicle and industrial products for the truck and trailer markets.

Tramec Sloan, a subsidiary of Tramec, recently acquired Fleet Engineers, a manufacturer and distributor of commercial vehicle and industrial products for the heavy-duty truck and trailer markets based in Muskegon MI.

Sloan will operate Fleet Engineers as an autonomous division out of Muskegon, the company said.

“For over fifty years, Fleet Engineers has maintained a solid reputation for producing quality truck and trailer products,” said Mark A. Holm, president of Tramec Sloan. “Their American-made product line will enable us to offer our existing customers a diversified product line for commercial vehicle and industrial applications.”

Fleet Engineers’ line of products includes solutions for aerodynamics, door systems, spray control and parts and accessories for the truck and trailer markets, including original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket.

“The strategic alignment of Fleet Engineers’ products, manufacturing technologies, knowledgeable and skilled people, and culture for continuous quality and service improvement is a key fit to our long-term growth objectives,” said Gary Sullo, president and CEO of Tramec Holdings.

“This acquisition strengthens our commitment to establish a leadership position in superior manufacturing in the USA and enables us to provide coast-to-coast distribution of an expanded product line.”

Sloan’s manufacturing and distribution locations are in Muskegon, Holland MI, Galion OH, and Iola KS, and its warehouses are in Oakville, Ontario, and Dallas TX.

“We are looking forward to working with Tramec Sloan,” said Wes Eklund, president of Fleet Engineers. “Our combined commitment to growth, business development and exceeding customer expectations will further improve our ability to serve our current customers, expand our reach, and position our companies to respond to commercial vehicle and industrial opportunities nationwide.”
