Birmingham, Alabama businessman Russell Warren, has purchased the majority of the assets of HarDee Manufacturing, Inc. in Plant City, Florida.
Included in the purchase are the assets of Twin States Truck Equipment located in Columbia, South Carolina. Two new companies, Warren Equipment, Inc. in Florida and Warren Truck Equipment, Inc. in South Carolina have been formed. Both the Florida and S.C. locations will sell, install and service products manufactured by other Warren owned companies as well as those products made in Plant City, Florida.
HarDee Manufacturing, Inc. had been in business for almost 50 years and had been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy since August of 2000. The new company will continue to build lift axles, sold as Warren’s E-Z Ride Suspensions. Steel and aluminum dump bodies and trailers built here will also be sold under the Warren name. Warren Equipment will continue to offer parts, repairs and service on HarDee Manufacturing Co., Inc. products.
With this additional 70,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Plant City, Florida. and the Columbia, South Carolina, installation facility, Warren will be better able to serve these markets.
The different Warren companies manufacture a wide variety of truck bodies, trailers and suspensions, and other related truck equipment. These products are built by the following “Warren” companies:
