Morgan Olson LLC has opened a new manufacturing facility in Charleston, S.C., that will specialize in Sprinter dry-freight bodies and Sprinter van upfitting.

“The new Charleston facility will expand our delivery vehicle solutions to the marketplace,” said Mike Ownbey, President and COO of Morgan Olson. “The fuel-efficient Sprinter chassis platform is a good fit for customers who need this size delivery vehicle. Morgan Olson walk-in vans are in demand for businesses that need greater GVWs, and this Sprinter platform offers a fuel-efficient choice.”

“Morgan Olson’s new facility is the latest example of the increasing role of the Sprinter van in the U.S. commercial van market,” said Claus Tritt, General Manager of Commercial Vans for Mercedes-Benz USA. “Their investment in this plant highlights the importance of the Sprinter van to their product line and, as a member of our Preferred Upfitter Program, demonstrates their commitment to building vehicles that meet the quality and engineering standards of Mercedes-Benz. Morgan Olson’s new facility will maximize efficiency, convenience and service to our Sprinter van customers and dealers across the U.S.”

Keith Arenz, Morgan Olson’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, added, “The ship-through savings, available through the Sprinter organization, is a real cost reduction. Providing our customers and Sprinter dealership these savings will give Sprinter dealers a competitive advantage to fleet and commercial businesses throughout the country.”
