Marion Body Works employees and their families recently raised $2,110 for the American Cancer Society (ACS).

The family-operated truck body manufacturer helped support the fight against cancer by selling breast cancer awareness T-shirts to generate funds for ACS. Employees bought the shirts, which were paid for by Marion.

“Marion Body Works has always shown their support for cancer awareness,” the company said.

“Together we proudly wear our pink ‘M’ for the month of October and support all who have battled cancer.”

Members of Marion’s Caring Committee, including owner Nancy Ignacio, presented the check to Heather Van Vonderen of the Green Bay ACS office.

ACS, established in 1913, is a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. The society is organized into six geographical regions of medical and lay volunteers operating in more than 250 regional offices in the US.

Marion Body Works, founded in 1905, specializes in all-aluminum products and manufactures fire and emergency apparatus, commercial truck bodies, custom cabs and engineered vehicles, and defense products for customers across the country.
