DC Trails purchases 15 Van Hool coaches

DC Trails, a charter and tour bus company serving Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, recently purchased 15 new Van Hool coaches from ABC Companies, including 14 2018 CX45 models and one 2018 TX with a two-door option.

The CX and TX models are ADA equipped and include 110-volt outlets, Allison transmissions, six 15-inch monitors, aluminum wheels and back-up cameras. The CX45 models are powered by a Detroit engine. The TX model is powered by a Cummins engine.

“Riders of these (Van Hool) coaches will immediately recognize the luxury seating and great overhead storage space,” said Bill Torres, president of DC Trails. “They will also be able to take advantage of the three-point seatbelts and enjoy the option of charging their electronics with the AC outlets at each seat.”

ABC Companies provides the transportation industry with products and services covering a spectrum of operational needs, including new and pre-owned coach equipment, transit and specialty vehicles. It also provides support with a network for service and repairs, collision services, and OEM and aftermarket parts needs for transit, motorcoach and heavy-duty equipment.

“We are thrilled to have such a close and positive relationship with DC Trails for so many years,” said Ryhan Cornell, ABC account manager for DC Trails. “Seeing this company grow into such an industry leader and to play a part of its continued success is a true honor for ABC Companies.”
