ZF Sachs to supply shock absorbers to Daimler Trucks North America

ZF Sachs, the Powertrain and Suspension Components division of ZF, has been awarded the contract to supply all production heavy-duty twin-tube chassis and cab shock absorbers for Daimler Trucks North America (formerly known as Freightliner LLC) vehicles.

The ZF division currently supplies production shock absorbers for the front suspension and rear air vocational suspension on most Daimler Trucks North America Class 8 vehicles, as well as front and rear suspension shocks for the motorhome chassis division of Daimler Trucks North America (formerly known as Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation).

Shocks will be produced at the ZF Sachs facility in Guadalajara, Mexico. Full series production will begin in March 2008.
